Maybe you could do a comic parallel to this,with Usagi instead of Mamoru. Something like:

3.Harassed by Ail
4.Mamoru-“Where have i seen this before?”

And then also contrast this with Usagi’s reaction when Diamond kidnapped her (at least in the anime). She did not waver at all.

Usagi’s love for Mamoru is just far too great XD Mamoru’s willpower doesn’t seem strong enough…
Anime Mamoru always had a weak mind imho… ^^; somehow everyone managed to snatch/control him (also, Galaxia just at the beginning of the season) :P Not that I mind, can live without him lmao
Usagi is so much stronger when it comes to resisting hypnosis.. She was able to resist Prince Demand, Wise Man (Showing her the visions of Black Lady/Mamoru), Zirconia and Nehellenia!

Get together with Seiya! He at least treated Usagi better than Mamaru ever did (save for when he was Moonlight night…doesn’t really count much because that was only his past memory essence?) lol I don’t count Endymion either because that was Mamaru’s past self. Both Usagi and Mamaru are different people since back then. As for Chibiusa…well let me just say it sucks to HAVE to be in the relationship so she will be born instead of it being because they love each other. Sure they do love one another but if she wavers even a bit she’s reminded that she will ruin Chibiusa’s future. Usagi should be allowed to change her mind about the relationship if she viewed it wasn’t going well. That’s why I think Chibiusa messed up when she went to the past and everyone found out she was their kid. Plus she changed the future a ton. Even the timespan of her birth if I’m not mistaken (if i am, eh).

Although I disagree that Usagi stayed with Mamoru because of Chibiusa, I think you are right in that it feels unfair to have that extra “burden”. No one should have to know their future (and meet their future kid XD) and then feel obligated to have things stay as they are now just so it doesn’t change/impact the future. Everytime there’s a Seiya/Mamoru debate, people always bring up Chibiusa ^^”

This is the reason sailor moon is great becuase they just reverse the roles on the typical damsel in distress script. He is the damsel/princes who needs rescuing while Usagi is the princess/knight/hero who saves her partner and friends.

They are the one to the rescue their partner on the every day stuff, while the hero rescues the whole world.

lol that’s why my friend hates him so much! and why she go’s on and on about this fan fic she found, were Usagi leaves everyone, because he always forgets her, her friends are mean to her(dam luna!) and then she has to save everyone. I’ll have to ask her for a link to send out to everyone lol
