I hate Crystal, I would probably be ‘meh’ if they didn’t add the senshi romance. Oh gosh no….. I mean, if they handled it correctly, HECK YES! But come on, they had NO IDEA what to do….. ‘sigh’ Dreams have fallen.
Said by someone who never read the manga. Handled identically.
To be honest, I stopped watching Crystal after they killed the Shitennou; having Metallia one-shotting them was *so* cheapskate! At the very least, give Endymion’s guards a chance to get back at Beryl and Metallia for brainwashing them.
More importantly, I WANT the Shitennou/Senshi pairings expanded! By killing the Shitennou off, it’s like telling the Inner Senshi: ‘Your love lives aren’t as important as Endymion/Serenity.’
hmm..that scene WAS pretty bad ^^” It felt like the directors didn’t really know what to do with them, so it was the easy way out of getting rid of them. The Black Moon Arc is a lot more solid though, if you feel like giving it another chance :)

I love straight relationships in any anime form(btw I’m a girl), there has been any hetero coupling in magical girl shows lately. I wish magical girl shows would go back to that.
I like straight ships too, but it’s cute to see everyone represented, not jus the ‘Cinderella story’ fiormat. Also, did you forget about Michi and Haruka?

I’m worried about sailor moon Crystal because Usagi falls for Mamoru, marries him, and has a child with him. Otakus nowadays don’t like straight relationships in magical girl shows; they’ll probably rage over it. Also hopefully Crystal will show nanoha and madoka that you can make a show accessible to males and females with getting gratuitous about it.

Agreed… I mean Sailor moon is really what medias SHOULD present in sexual relationship… by presenting both heterosexual and homosexuality in a equally positive way. It dose not condemn one or the another.

This is my life story.
The year before last, my friend started watching Sailor Moon. She didn’t get very far but she recommended it to me. I din’t want to watch it because I thought it’d be too girly. Then I found these comics and I decided to watch it because they were so funny! I BECAME SO OBSESSED THAT I WOULD NOT SHUT UP ABOUT IT EVER AND EVERYBODY WHO KNOWS ME WAS KILLED FROM AN EXPLOSION OF OBSESSIVE HYPE. haha yeah, the differences are subtle but there are some differences :)
Well differences aside I think the series could use a good modernization
to the 21st century. Like they did for Batman, James Bond, and Sherlock Holmes
in the west.
So what do yuo think they could do to improve the new series from the original.
I’m sure the outfit the girls wear on a daily basis would change from the 90s fashion. I think it could be similar to PGSM (live action version) where they may use a cellphone instead of communicator watch devices. Not sure XD
This is gonna be nice, I hope that the adaptation of the first arc is good and they decide to adapt the whole manga >w<
It would be cool to see the Sailor Quartet, they didn't appear outside the manga…

Rei’s design looks really very nice. It captures her manga personality almost perfectly. I’m looking forward to this cooler, more composed version of the priestess (especially since this time boys will be the last thing on her mind).
I agree :D Her look seems the most different compared to the original 90s anime. I really liked watching Rei in PGSM, so if her anime personality is closer to the manga it should be quite fresh as well ^___^

And Rei will still be in high heels too this time, hope she’s got some bandages ready XDD I somewhat like it too that her hair is more purplish this time around compared to the old time’s purple highlight only. Kinda gives her a slightly different image, as Manga Rei is more serious and reserved than her 90s anime counterpart most of the times. We have yet to see her entirely in her Miko attire though (just the headshot in her civilian character design with her school uniform), because I like her when she’s wearing that outfit in particular.
I hope there will be more than one season to this one as well, 26 episodes don’t seem enough to quench my thirst after all the wait xD
haha yeah… 26 episodes for one season sounds like a good number though :) Hopefully this means less fillers and more plot! :D For me quality over quantity (not that I mind more) Obviously I also hope there will be more after that (and that they cover all 5 seasons eventually!!) Will be a long long wait though if they continue to broadcast only 2 episodes per month! It feels like we’re constantly waiting, doesn’t it? ^^”

Yeah, and I hope they spread the plot evenly throughout the season so there won’t be any part that seems rushed (like the case of the Witches 5). and YES, I WOULD LOOOVE FOR ALL 5 SEASONS TO BE REBOOTED ! 8D If that does happen though, maybe a fortnightly episode would be best ? Because hopefully that gives them extra time to work on the next season so we won’t have like a year gap between each season. #wishfulthinking xD
