To be 100% correct. Both are actually acceptable. Per Wikipedia (Which I helped write):
As a human, he is Helios (エリオス, Eriosu), the priest of Elysion. Helios and Elios are both correct spellings of this name; the “H” in “Helios” is aspirated in Greek. Helios refers to the Greek mythological personification of the sun.
hmm..but that’s only according to wikipedia.. (which isn’t 100% accurate in terms of information)- plus it just says both are correct spelling, but where’s the source? There’s no footnote or any reference to indicate that statement is true.

I personally believe this theory, only because it’s backed up by so many studies.. but that’s just me ^^;

You know, I always thought Chibiusa was a lil whore with Helios and Peruru.
I blame the anime. Peruru doesn’t exist int he manga.

Initially I was going to make this comic about Helios/Peruru/Chibiusa.. but I don’t like Peruru much and wanted to give Chibiusa and Helios some time together XD

Yah! Chibiusa and Helios one! This is one of my favorite couples, well I can’t decide actually, but whatever. It was funny that you did a conversation on how Helios’s name is pronounced. I’ve personally had it said and spelled several different ways. It is Helios! The Japanese have it differently because of how their katakana is. Its weird when I see it spelled by katakana way in romanazation. Not that I have a problem with katakana (besides I fail the quizes for it in my Japanese class), just when people interpret and translate it, it shouldn’t be kept in Japanese spelling but translated properly. aka Eriosu —> Helios.
Besides Helios is the god of sun (forgot what culture, think Roman because that’s for everyone else ;/) not Elios. :P

I’m guilty of calling Helios ‘Elios” for a really long time..lol.. I watched SuperS in the Cantonese dub, and his name sounds something like “Eiliose” which I thought sounded like Elios. But yeah, it doesn’t make sense for him to be called Elios, lol I mean..what is “Elios”?

Elios can be right, I just learned while translating katakana it should be spelled and pronounced on what the original word it was based on. Japanese katakana is basically word foreign words translated to their language. So it is proper for it to be translated back when it itself is translated. Does that make any sense? Its late where I am and I need some sleep. :/
Oh and for couples I like, lets see, there is Mamoru/Usagi, Usagi/Seiya, Haruka/Michiru, Helios/Chibiusa, Rei/Yuuichiro, Taiki/Ami, Yaten/Minako, Kunzite/Zoicite, the Senshi/Shitennou from the manga… basically any with at least some canon back up support. Really only pairings I will detest is if it is completely crack and unrealistic, and yes I can’t decide a favorite. ^.^
Oh, that is a lot of couples.. xD I pretty much have two- Usagi/Seiya and Chibiusa/Helios being my fav pairings :)

Awwwww… Poor Helios!! And he was all nervous too… But then again, it’s not a good relationship if Chibiusa doesn’t know how to pronounce his name.
Chibiusa’s like blushing madly in the 3rd panel! In the 4th panel, the Stallion Reve lost all the sparkles around it and got dimmer!! XD And I ABSOLUTELY LUV Pegasus in the second panel.

I always imagine Helios being the kind of submissive-ish one in their relationship. Chibi-Usa always struck me as the bold type and Helios….doesn’t XD But that’s part of their charm as a couple, IMO.
