Welcome to MoonSticks – a series of adorable & humorous Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon comic strips by Chibi Jennifer. We launched back in 5th April 2009 with the goal of celebrating Sailor Moon one comic panel at a time. If you enjoy our comics, please consider buying me a coffee! About the Artist

I’m Chibi Jennifer aka Chibi Jen, a huge Sailor Moon fan from Sydney Australia. My first exposure to Sailor Moon was back in the early 90s when it appeared on free-to-air TV on Agro’s Cartoon Connection. I have a big soft spot for the classic 90s anime and the Japanese live action adaption ‘Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon‘ (PGSM). I built my first Sailor Moon fansite in 2000 titled Chibi Land. I love drawing, cooking and Japanese culture! Feel free to check out my personal blog where I talk about Sailor Moon and other passions.

1. How often do you update with new comics?
It’s a bit random and sparse at the moment! Best to subscribe so you know when.

2. Can I re-post your comics onto my site/blog/tumblr/forum?
Yes you can! Just remember to credit link back to Moonsticks.org so others know where it came from :) (Please don’t crop off or edit our comics)

3. Can I edit your comics?
Sorry, no (unless you’re translating and removing the speech text). Also, please don’t make money off them (I don’t)

4. Can I translate your comics into my own language?
Yes, but please provide an accurate translation and credit link back to MoonSticks.org (Please don’t crop off the credits from our comics)

5. I have an awesome/funny comic idea! Do you take suggestions?
Suggestions are always welcome. I appreciate them even if I don’t end up using it :) Contact me here.

6. What’s ‘MoonSticks’ exactly? How did you come up with this name?
It’s a pun, referring to Sailor Moon’s wand (Moon Stick) and ‘stick’ figure drawings :3

    Now I had this crazy idea for a crossover strip with Ladybug (also co-produced by TOEI, as a matter of fact), but I can’t put myself to properly finish it as I obviously can’t really draw (not even in a chibified style as here*) :’-(

    However, the overall story would’ve been about Mamoru visiting Paris, and Marinette/Ladybug mistakes him for an ‘akumatized’ person (with the black Smoking & Top Hat and all). I might send you the dialogues, if you like.

    Hey!
    I added this website years ago (about 5 I think) when my love for Sailor Moon was rekindled by some re-runs I came across. I don’t check it as often as I did but since is on my bookmarks I pay visits from time to time.

    You have to be very proud of your talent and sense of humor. I haven’t found anything as good as this. Keep up with the good work.

    I love all the characters but specially Haruka/Michiru and Usagi/Mina, they are just lovely, super elegant and the latter well…funny and adorable as only they can be. Right now my current favorite is your version of the Ellen Degeneres’ Oscar selfie, where Haruka is Brad Pitt (very fitting) and Michiru is Angelina. Kudos!

    Anyway! Congratulations and thank you for your hard work.

    Hi Chibi Jennifer! What a wonderful website! I’m a Mooonie guy from Honduras, Central America. I grew up with Sailor Moon and she is my all time favorite heroine. I watched the show in Spanish and it was very well done, very close to the japanese diaogue.

    I have seen your page and the Comic strips are so adorable. I have a question for you. How has Sailor Moon, (the series, or a particular character) helped you personally in your life?

    I think Sailor Moon has made my life more interesting, filled with hope in difficult times and helped me not to take myself so seriously. It has really saved me many times :) I feel I owe so much to the series, I love its Music. I play Cello and piano and have done two covers of the transformation music (I posted it in twitter, i believe I tagged you there).

    I hope I get to know your answer to my question. Thanx for the beautiful site and suport for SM.

    Yonkoma comics are my favorite and yours are fun and very accurate ^^

    Your comics are so amazing. Great stuff :3 Really adorable (and hilarious) drawings. Almost reminds me of Azumanga Sailor Moon, the way your comics are set up :3

    I’m rewatching the entire series right now, which has put me on a tremendous nostalgic trip (and rekindled my love of drawing sailor moon fanart! :D)

      I should re-watch the series some time too! My memory is getting a bit fuzzy too, lol (So far the comic ideas were from memory when I watched them years ago)

    Chibi! Since I LOVE these Moonsticks I’d love to translate them and put them in a club (not a SM club, it’s various), but a small question..
    I’ve told you before that Sailor moon was never translated in my country. So, if I put them on that club, do you think they will be able to understand it even if they haven’t watch Sailormoon before? AND, do you allow me to do that?

      hmm..and in terms of whether or not they’ll get it..your guess is as good as mine. I’m not really sure @_@ Some of them are more generic (like Beryl Butt one), while there are others have have heavy references.

        Well you could always do like the main senshi and have like cute drawings of them with funny facial expressions. XD Maybe something like that. Cause some of my friends get such a kick out of these but don’t know too much about the Sailor Moon (besides the dub).

    I absotively, posolutely LOVE MoonSticks! It explores those little “what ifs” we all had when we watched the anime/read the manga (well, not so much the manga, since it was kinda darker and more plot-heavy than the anime), which is awesome. And the drawing style is so cute! I would ask you if I could translate them, but I have no website to post them on. :'( Keep up the good work!

    I was a bit hesitant to check this out given the MS Paint quality of some
    webcomics, but I was pleasantly surprised! They’re well drawn and
    raise a smile, and it’s rare for something like that to do both

      i think that is really cool too!!! it would be cool if others from different languages could translate so others could enjoy it!!

      i am trying to think of various plot holes that occur in the series….like…you could do a comic with stars describing where usagi’s parents go, where naru and umino go…THEY ARE NO LONGER THERE!

    things like: What does ami-chan do when she ISN’T studying
    Why is chibi-usa’s hair pink?!
    how come when Mamoru dies or almost dies…chibi-usa OMG FADES AWAY but when usagi dies chibi-usa is fine…

    is seiya a lesbian?! he is orignially a female and seiya falls in love with usagi. interesting,.

    how often are you updating? is it a MWF thing? a T TH thing?
